Supervising Pharmacist – East Galway City (Maternity Cover)

PharmaConex is currently recruiting a Supervising Pharmacist for a well-established pharmacy in East Galway City. This is a maternity cover role commencing in February 2027, with a permanent contract as a Support Pharmacist within the group offered upon completion.

Key Details

• Maternity cover role from February 2027

• Permanent contract within the group offered post-maternity cover

• 4 to 5 days per week, alternate weeks

• Working hours: 9am to 5.30pm daily

• Alternate Saturdays (half day)

• 1 in 6 Sundays and Bank Holidays (shared with Briarhill team)

• Competitive salary DOE

Responsibilities

• Supervising the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy in compliance with PSI regulations and Irish pharmacy legislation

• Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently

• Managing and supporting the dispensary team

• Ensuring all SOPs are followed and kept up to date

• Managing stock and liaising with suppliers

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with patients and the local community

Requirements

• BSc (Pharm) / MPharm

• Must be registered as a Pharmacist with the PSI

• Previous supervising experience desirable

• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
