Covid19 – Just a Reminder

Behind the scenes the PharmaConex Team continue to work to ensure the safety of all Locums, Permanent Pharmacy Staff, their Families and Patients.

Unfortuntly with the increase in Covid19 cases there is no room for complacency. Below is a reminder of PharmaConex’s policies and procedures as well as those applicable across the community pharmacy industry.

You will find updated pharmacy specific guidelines, issued by the PSI through the link below. We ask all locums to please observe these and refer to them prior to each shift.

Confirming your locum booking, when confirming a locum booking with PharmaConex, you will be confirming that none of the below are applicable to you. Should you have travelled outside of Ireland, you are displaying symptoms or have been instructed to self- isolate, please do not confirm your booking and contact a member of the PharmaConex Team in confidence.

  • You have not been out of the island of Ireland within 14 days of the booking date.
  • You do not have any symptoms of the covid-19 virus, should you start to display any symptoms please contact us ASAP.
  • You have not been told to self-isolate or you have not been in contact with any person with the virus.

Close Contacts / Positive Tests

In the event you receive a positive Covid19 test and have been working with PharmaConex within the past 14 days we ask that you inform PharmaConex immediately by contacting 083 117 9967 in confidence. Equally if a Locum working with PharmaConex is identified as a close contact they will be notified by the HSE ASAP, we also ask in this case that you inform a PharmaConex member.

In both instances PharmaConex will be required to cancel upcoming shifts until it is deemed safe for the Locum to return to work.

Travel Policies

Our clients are implementing internal protocols surrounding returning to work after travelling outside of the Republic of Ireland. In the event you have travelled outside of the Republic of Ireland 14 days prior to your next Locum Shift a member of the PharmaConex Team will be able to advise you of the applicable quarantine time, if any.

As we are currently in level 5 restrictions you may require a letter proving that you are travelling to work to carry out an essential duty, if so please do not hesitate in contacting us.

Most importantly, don’t forget to take some time out!

On a lighter note, don’t forget to take time for yourself. Although it is a very challenging time in community pharmacy, we all need sometime out. In the link below Hello magazine offers recommendations around keeping active, entertained, being productive and much more.
